Sustainability

Responsibility, Built Step by Step

Making Electronics with More Care for What Comes Next.

Every circuit board begins long before production—with materials drawn from the earth, energy and water used to transform them, and people responsible for every process in between. At SUNHOPE, sustainability means understanding those impacts more clearly and managing them with greater discipline and care. Through environmental controls, material compliance, safer workplaces and product-level carbon footprint verification, we are turning steady improvement into a more responsible way to manufacture—and a stronger basis for long-term partnership.

Product Carbon Footprint Making Carbon Visible—One Defined Boundary at a Time

A Product-Specific Starting Point

Carbon reduction begins with knowing where emissions arise. A specified SUNHOPE PCB model, 1H29294A, has undergone independent third-party product carbon footprint verification in accordance with ISO 14067:2018, PAS 2050:2011 and ISO 14064-3:2019. Using 2024 activity data and a declaration unit of one square meter of PCB, the assessment covers a cradle-to-gate boundary—from raw-material acquisition and transportation through product manufacturing.

Turning Evidence into Direction

1. Focus on What the Evidence RevealsThe assessment gives us a clearer view of where emissions arise within the defined product boundary. That knowledge can guide future attention toward material information, supplier engagement, equipment efficiency and production-resource management—while every change must still respect the project’s electrical, mechanical, quality and reliability requirements.

2. Build the Evidence for a Broader ViewThis verified model is a practical starting point. We will continue strengthening internal data, evaluating additional product-level assessments where they can create real value, and developing a clearer way to respond when customers need carbon information. As our measurement capability grows, so will our ability to turn product-level insight into better manufacturing priorities and more meaningful supply-chain conversations

People & Shared Responsibility

Progress Is Made by People Who Are Protected, Respected and Prepared

Sustainability also lives in the conditions under which manufacturing is carried out. Across our team of 300+ people, SUNHOPE continues annual occupational health and safety activities, role-based training and professional development, supported by our ISO 45001 management system. We want every improvement in equipment, process and technology to be matched by stronger awareness, clearer responsibility and more opportunities for people to grow with the work.

Governance & Transparency

Say What We Know Improve What We Can Prove

Responsible manufacturing depends on disciplined decisions. SUNHOPE uses defined responsibilities, management systems, operating records and review mechanisms to connect environmental compliance, occupational health and safety, manufacturing improvement and customer requirements. Our ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications provide a structured foundation, maintained through ongoing management, surveillance audits and recertification.

Transparency also means respecting the boundary of every statement. A company-level action, a product-specific carbon footprint and a customer-specific compliance requirement are not interchangeable.
We are continuing to strengthen environmental data visibility, energy and resource efficiency, equipment performance, and communication around responsible sourcing—turning future goals into progress that can be understood and, step by step, verified. If your project includes requirements relating to materials, product carbon information or responsible sourcing, we welcome the conversation early.
